When you log in for the first time, you will be given a guided tour of JIRA. In the first step, choose the language you want to use. You can change this selection at any time.

Next, you can choose a so-called avatar. That is a profile picture like in social networks. You can choose an existing avatar or upload your own picture.

If you do not want to create a profile picture, simply skip this step and click Next.

You will be given a short overview of the basic concepts in JIRA. The tour consists of twelve steps. Clicking Next or pressing the ENTER key will take you to the next step. If you do not wish to take the tour, click Skip quick tour.
